Parents' Committe - Mothers' Day Banquet

On May 29, 2008, around 150 mothers and guests attended The Parents’ Committee mother’s-day banquet. It was a banquet which was delayed for two weeks due to the political unrest in the country. The program before & during the lunch included, Armenian folk dance (performed by the members of the school’s SIPAN group), choir (4th graders), a classical Viola piece (by a recent graduate), a guest soloist (singing Armenian folk songs), and a series of comedy skits performed by MANUELIG & two mothers from the Committee. At the beginning, and after the welcoming words of the chairwoman & the Principal, the guest speaker, Miss Sona Nashian told an interesting story of the love of a blind mother.
All this was topped by the delicious Lebanese Meza & main course, followed by coffee & dessert.
The hard work of the members of the Parents’ Committee as well as all involved –teachers, guest performers, speaker, etc.—is highly appreciated.
By the decision of the Parents’ Committee, the banquet’s proceedings will go to the renovation of some of the classrooms.
